You will write an assignment report (you may write as an essay but you may also write in a report format, making use of diagrams, charts, bullet points etc.) on the future strategy for a retailer of your choice. You should consider the impact that COVID 19 has had on their strategy and operations and how you believe they should shape their future strategy to succeed in the changing retail environment. The retailer should be significant player in bricks and mortar (i.e. they should not be a pure online retailer) and can be a product or service retailer.
Your essay / report will cover:
an explanation of their retail strategy pre-COVID, referencing concepts from the whole course, but making particular reference to retail strategy and the retail mix.
a critical evaluation how the COVID epidemic and the changing retail environment has impacted that retailer and how it has responded in the short term.
