2 pages, double-spaced, 12-point TNR font, paragraph format
Full-length film: Your third essay will bring together the kinds of observations you practiced in the first two essays and apply them to the context of a full-length film. Feel free to explore other technical, narrative, and/ or contextual issues – e.g. camerawork or film editing; storyline and how elements of the film contribute to it; where/ when/ why/ how this film was made – but ground your essay and its structure in close observations of sound and movement.
For the third essay, think about what you want your reader to take away from the essay: is it an argument, an impression, a question? Then structure your essay accordingly. This essay is less about recreating the listening/ viewing experience than the first two, except as is useful for achieving the message you want to convey
